OUR FABRICATION PLANT
Located in St. Petersburg, Florida, our 45,000 square foot state-of-the-art fabrication facility is equipped to handle structural projects large or small. With skilled craftsmen and an extensive array of equipment, including plasma plate processing, CNC profile cutting, beam cambering, plate bending, and overhead cranes, we have the manpower, tools, and procedures required to produce the steel for your project accurately, efficiently, and on time.
QUALITY CONTROL AND PROCEDURES
As an American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) Certified Fabricator, Southern Structural Steel of Florida utilizes cutting-edge fabrication technologies and implements a rigorous quality management system. Combined with our skilled workforce, these resources allow us to produce assemblies that meet the highest standards for accuracy and on-time completion for even the most challenging construction projects.
Each workstation is provided with an iPad loaded with Tekla software for immediate, real-time access to drawings by the workers responsible for producing them. Our equipment and shop layout are designed to provide workers with limited handling interruptions, increasing safety, accuracy, and an efficient workflow (see our current equipment list under the Equipment tab)
Our procedures allow us to provide reliable, accurate, and on time production of overflow needs of all types, simplifying projects by having all processing provided in a single, proven reliable, certified steel fabrication shop. With in-house capabilities for all types of structural steel processing needs, our customers’ jobs are simplified. We can handle last-minute revisions and understand the timeline pressures of steel fabrication and construction.
